omg. yes. LOL.
i’m glad i was too, i heard polo got pepper sprayed!
Sorry I haven’t answered until now.
In the scope of things from experience, in society in general whether or not you’re dressed nicely or not people will still find ways to pick on you. (Like fatties shouldn’t wear x things because it makes them look huge, fatties shouldn’t look so confident)… When I was a jeans and T girl, I was still made fun of as much as I am now (at least by my family). I guess at school I get complimented on a lot, so yes I guess it makes a bit of a difference. Sorry if I make no sense right now, lol.
You’re right though. I’ve seen people get snarked in the fatshion community for wearing just jeans and t-shirt, or even t-shirt and sweats. If you style yourself - for me anyways, it’s a form of activism. The clothing retailers and also just the fashion community on television and the media try to make it so fat people dress really frumpy, and by buying into it you are “giving in” to what they want… and I suppose by dressing “stylish” like the trends, you are going against what is being put at you, if that makes sense?
Personally I don’t care if anyone wears jeans and t or not. If they love themselves that is what matters. :\
